Nick Rowley bought a 60-acre property in 2017 for his family to live in while they remodeled their original home. Now he is putting the estate back up for sale for $23.5 million.

“We bought this house to live in while we were renovating and adding an extension to our original farm, which is a mile away. We’re selling it now because that house is ready to move back in,” Rowley, a lawyer , Insider told.

A large stone fireplace is the centerpiece of the main house living room. Made of river rock, the floor-to-ceiling fireplace takes up an entire wall.
Numerous other walls, pillars and fireplaces in the house are made of the same river rock, Johnson said.
“The stonemason, a true craftsman, was able to repeat the design of a bear’s paw throughout the building, with larger rounder stones used for the cushion of the foot and narrower rocks for the claws,” she added.
Rowley said this room is one of the favorite parts of the family’s house: “We like to spend time reading or playing board games in the great room with a roaring fire.”
The dining room comes with a table suitable for a party of 14 – perfect for Rowley, his wife and their 11 children.
Rowley and his family currently live in the house full time.
“My wife and I are trial attorneys and authors. We have a national law firm and we’ve built a hangar in Bozeman where we keep our jet that takes us to court,” Rowley said. The city of Bozeman is an hour drive from their house.
“This home is perfect for a family that enjoys entertaining friends, relatives and business associates,” said Johnson.
The kitchen, which was recently renovated, is fully equipped with appliances and has a center island, Johnson said.
The master suite features a four-poster bed, two sofas and a fireplace. Large glass windows let in plenty of natural light.

Adjacent to the main house is a three-bedroom guest house that currently houses the owner’s nanny and private chef, Johnson said.

The house is located in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, which is home to many species of animals, including deer, elk, moose, bears, and eagles. There are also two trout ponds on the property.
“The pond is stocked with native trout and is a wonderful place to cast a line and practice fly fishing,” Johnson said.
The toy shed, located at the entrance to the compound, can house four sport-utility vehicles or four-wheelers, snowmobiles and tractors, Johnson said.
The toy barn includes a one-bedroom apartment that currently serves as the home for the property’s caretaker, she added.
While Rowley puts the house on the market, he doesn’t go far: he owns 260 adjacent acres and has finished building a house on that land.
And while Rowley is ready to sell the house, he will only do so under the right circumstances, Johnson said: “He only puts the house on the market once and will take it off the market if it doesn’t sell as quickly as he does. expect it to rise in value well above its asking price.”
If he eventually retains ownership, Rowley is sure his family will continue to spend time in the house.
“Our favorite part of the house is that it fits everyone,” he said. “We don’t have to sell it. We have a very large family and will definitely be using it for the next 10 years if we end up keeping it.”
