Ohio State football lands four Walter Camp preseason All-Americans

The Walter Camp Football Foundation announced its pre-season All-American picks for the upcoming season and Ohio State was well represented. The Buckeyes had a total of four rosters, two of which were selected for the first team and two for the second team.

You can visit the Walter Camp website for a complete overview of all pre-season awards.

Oddly enough, CJ Stroud was not on the Walter Camp pre-season All-American list. We can understand that first team honors go to the reigning Heisman winner, Bryce Young of . go Alabama† The Tide QB has earned that accolade. However, we cannot understand that Stroud is left out in favor of USC quarterback, Caleb Williams.

Stroud finished the 2021 season as strong as anyone else and is expected to pick up where he left off. This is no small matter for Williams, but Stroud proved his worth and should have more general talent around him as Lincoln Riley wants to rebuild USC and bring the Trojans back to national fame.

Perhaps this is a chip on Stroud’s shoulder, giving him another reason to prove people wrong again, like he did last year.

Anyway, here are the four Buckeyes that made the cut.
