Freshman pitcher Hunter Elliot equalized Horton’s hot start by striking out his second strikeout of the day.
Bottom fourth: Horton emerges from a disturbance
Ole Miss put runners on first and second base with one out, but Horton held the game scoreless with a strikeout and groundout.
Top sixth: OU is taken off the board
OU seemingly struck first on an RBI single from John Spikerman, but a challenge from Ole Miss resulted in the game being destroyed. Spikerman was called for interference and the run was cleared.

With the momentum on his side, Ole Miss claimed an 1-0 lead on a solo homerun by Jacob Gonzalez.
